Mammut is a premium outdoor equipment brand with a legacy dating back to the 19th century. The Seon Transporter is one of their most popular urban-active backpacks, designed to bridge the gap between office work and climbing gym visits. The brand is deeply rooted in Swiss mountaineering tradition, emphasizing high-quality materials and technical precision.

While the brand was founded in Switzerland and maintains its headquarters and design operations there, manufacturing for the Seon Transporter and other soft goods is primarily outsourced to specialized production facilities in Vietnam and China. This allows for the technical complexity of the gear to be managed at scale while maintaining the brand's strict quality standards.

Ownership of Mammut has evolved over the years. Originally a family-owned rope works, it became part of the Swiss holding company Conzzeta (now Bystronic). In 2021, the brand was acquired by Telemos Capital, a European investment firm, which now oversees the global expansion and strategic direction of the heritage Swiss label.
