Cube is a prominent German bicycle manufacturer founded in 1993 by Marcus Pürner. The brand started in a small corner of his father's furniture factory in Waldershof, Bavaria, and has since grown into a global leader in the cycling industry. Cube is particularly well-known for its 'Hybrid' line, which encompasses a wide range of electric mountain, trekking, and urban bikes integrated with Bosch drive systems.
While the company has expanded its assembly facilities significantly within Germany to maintain high quality control, many of its frames are engineered in-house and manufactured in Asia before being shipped back to Bavaria for final assembly and rigorous testing. This hybrid approach to manufacturing allows the brand to balance technological innovation with competitive pricing.
Cube remains an independent company under the ownership of its founder. Unlike many other major bike brands that have been acquired by large international conglomerates, Cube is managed by Pending System GmbH & Co. KG. This independence has allowed the brand to maintain a specific focus on the European market while expanding its footprint to over 60 countries worldwide.
