Manner Zitrone Wafers

Manner is an iconic Austrian brand, best known for its Neapolitan wafers wrapped in signature pink packaging. Founded in 1889 by Josef Manner in Vienna, the brand has maintained a strong heritage, still using the St. Stephen's Cathedral in its logo to represent its Viennese roots. The Manner Zitrone (Lemon) wafers shown here are a popular variation of their classic hazelnut cream wafers, featuring a refreshing citrus filling.

Production remains strictly centered in Austria, primarily at the original factory location in Vienna's 17th district and a second site in Wolkersdorf. Unlike many historic European confectionery brands that have been acquired by global food conglomerates, Manner remains an independent, family-led public company (Josef Manner & Comp. AG). This independence allows the brand to maintain traditional recipes and high-quality standards, such as sourcing its own cocoa beans and ensuring consistent manufacturing within its home country.
