Peters Ice Cream is a staple of Australian food culture, having been established in 1907 by Fred Peters. Originally starting in Sydney, the brand eventually moved its primary manufacturing operations to its historic site in Mulgrave, Victoria, where the majority of its production remains today. The brand is famous for iconic Australian snacks such as the Drumstick, Frosty Fruits, and Connoisseur ice creams.
Throughout its history, Peters has seen several changes in ownership. It was once part of the Pacific Dunlop group and later acquired by Nestlé. In 2012, it was sold to Pacific Equity Partners, and subsequently, in 2014, it was acquired by the European-based R&R Ice Cream. Today, it operates as a key part of Froneri, a global joint venture that has consolidated many of the world's most recognizable ice cream brands under one umbrella, maintaining its status as one of Australia's largest ice cream manufacturers.
