Digi is a prominent mobile service provider in Malaysia, originally established in 1995. The brand became a pioneer in the Malaysian market by being the first to launch a fully digital cellular network. Over the decades, it grew into one of the largest telecommunications companies in the country, known for its yellow branding and mascot.

In late 2022, a significant corporate merger took place between Digi.com Berhad and Celcom Axiata Berhad, creating CelcomDigi. This entity is now the largest wireless carrier in Malaysia. The ownership is primarily shared between the Norwegian multinational Telenor Group and the Malaysian investment firm Axiata Group. While the brand operates exclusively within Malaysia, its strategic direction and ownership are tied to these major international and local telecommunications giants.
