Fletcher Hotels is a prominent Dutch hotel chain that stands as one of the largest in the Netherlands. The brand was founded in 1997 by Chris Luken, who began the venture with the acquisition of the Hotel-Restaurant Victoria in Bergen. Since its inception, the brand has grown significantly, specializing in the operation of individualistic, often historic or uniquely located hotels across all Dutch provinces.
Over the years, the ownership structure has evolved. In 2016, the brand was acquired by a management team supported by NIBC Bank. Subsequently, in 2021, the global private equity firm Egeria acquired a majority stake in Fletcher Hotels. This transition marked a new era of expansion and modernization for the chain, maintaining its strong Dutch heritage while leveraging international capital for growth. Today, Fletcher is recognized for its diverse portfolio of three- and four-star accommodations, often situated in scenic areas like forests, dunes, and coastal regions.
