PlantNet Plant Identification Application

PlantNet (stylized as Pl@ntNet) is a prominent citizen science project and mobile application designed for the identification of plants through digital images. Launched in 2009, it was developed by a consortium of French research institutions to promote biodiversity and botanical knowledge through automated visual recognition. The platform functions as a collaborative database, where user contributions help improve the underlying machine learning algorithms.
