Paulaner Hefe-Weißbier

Paulaner Hefe-Weißbier is a world-renowned wheat beer originating from Munich, Germany. The brand's history dates back to 1634, when it was first brewed by the Minim friars of the Neudeck ob der Au monastery. The name of the order and the brewery refers to Francis of Paola, the founder of the order. Today, the beer is still brewed in Munich, strictly adhering to the Bavarian Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot), ensuring a high-quality product using local ingredients.

Regarding its ownership, Paulaner is part of the Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe GmbH & Co. KGaA. This group is a joint venture between the Schörghuber Corporate Group (which holds a 70% stake) and the Dutch brewing giant Heineken N.V. (which holds 30%). Despite international investment, the brand maintains its deep Bavarian roots and traditional manufacturing processes in its home city.
