ProActiv Tartine spread

ProActiv (formerly Flora ProActiv) is a brand of vegetable oil spread specifically designed to lower cholesterol through added plant sterols. The brand was originally created by Unilever, a British-Dutch multinational, as part of their health-focused functional food portfolio. It has roots in both the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

In 2018, Unilever sold its global spreads business to KKR, a private equity firm, which formed the company Upfield. Since then, Upfield has become the ultimate owner of the brand. Manufacturing occurs in multiple locations across Europe and North America to serve local markets. The product shown in the image is a French-labeled variant, likely produced in one of Upfield's European manufacturing facilities.
