Mentos Fruit rolls

Mentos is an internationally recognized brand of pre-packaged scotch mints and fruit-flavored chews. The brand was originally founded in the Netherlands during the 1930s by the van Melle brothers, who were inspired to create a peppermint-flavored caramel candy while on a train trip to Poland. The iconic roll packaging that consumers recognize today was introduced in the 1950s.

Currently, the brand is owned by Perfetti Van Melle, a global confectionery and gum company formed in 2001 through the merger of the Italian Perfetti Group and the Dutch Van Melle company. In 2023, the company further expanded its reach by acquiring Mondelez International's developed-market gum business. Mentos products are manufactured in various locations worldwide, including major facilities in the Netherlands, Italy, and Brazil, to serve its vast global market.
