Melange Original Margarine

Melange is one of Norway's most iconic and widely used margarine brands, first launched in 1919. It was originally created by the company Borgar, which was part of the De Nordiske Fabriker (Denofa) group. Today, it is a flagship product of Orkla, a leading Nordic industrial conglomerate.

The margarine is primarily manufactured at Orkla's production facility in Fredrikstad, Norway. Throughout its history, Melange has established itself as the standard for baking and frying in Norwegian households. While the brand remains deeply rooted in Norwegian food culture, its ultimate ownership resides with Orkla ASA, which is headquartered in Oslo and operates extensively across Northern Europe, the Baltics, and Central Europe.
