Missoni is a high-end Italian fashion house renowned for its colorful knitwear and zigzag patterns. Founded in 1953 by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni in Gallarate, Italy, the brand has remained a family-controlled legacy. While the brand expanded into accessories and home goods, much of its core production, especially leather goods and textiles, continues to be manufactured in Italy to maintain artisan quality.

Today, the Missoni family remains the majority owner and leads the creative direction. In 2018, the Italian investment fund FSI (Fondo Strategico Italiano) acquired a 41.2% stake in the company to support global growth, but the headquarters remain in Sumirago, Italy.
