Aperol Bitter

Aperol is an iconic Italian bitter apéritif, best known as the key ingredient in the globally popular Aperol Spritz. It was originally created in 1919 in Padua, Italy, by the Barbieri brothers, Luigi and Silvio. The recipe has remained largely unchanged since its inception, featuring a unique blend of gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona among other herbs and roots.

In 2003, the brand was acquired by the Campari Group (Davide Campari-Milano N.V.), which has significantly expanded its international presence. While it is primarily manufactured in Italy at various Campari production facilities, it is distributed globally. The brand represents a quintessential part of Italian drinking culture and continues to be owned and managed by the Campari Group, headquartered in Milan.
