Clean & Clear Essentials Sensitive Skin Foaming Cleanser

Clean & Clear is a widely recognized skincare brand originally developed by Revlon in 1957 as a line of sensitive skin personal care items. The name referred to the fact that the products contained no fragrances or dyes and left no residue after rinsing. In 1991, the brand was acquired by Johnson & Johnson, who pivoted its focus toward acne treatments specifically targeted at the teenage demographic.

Following a major corporate restructuring in 2023, Johnson & Johnson spun off its consumer health division into a new independent company called Kenvue. As a result, Clean & Clear is now owned and managed by Kenvue, which is headquartered in the United States. While the brand has American roots, its products are manufactured in various facilities globally, including the United States, Canada, and Thailand, to serve international markets like Canada (en-CA).
