The product is primarily manufactured in the United States, with significant production facilities located in Marshall, Minnesota. Over the decades, the brand's ownership has transitioned through major corporate acquisitions. Originally created by Schwan's Company (formerly The Schwan Food Company), a majority stake was acquired in 2019 by CJ CheilJedang, a South Korean conglomerate. As of 2024 and beyond, CJ CheilJedang remains the ultimate owner, managing the brand through its Schwan's subsidiary to maintain its market-leading position in the frozen pizza category.
