Wittmann Urhell is a traditional Bavarian Helles lager produced by the Brauerei C. Wittmann, based in Landshut, Germany. The brewery has a long history dating back to 1616, maintaining its status as an independent, family-owned establishment for centuries. It is deeply rooted in the Lower Bavarian region and is known for adhering to the Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law).

The manufacturing process takes place entirely at their facility in Landshut, utilizing regional raw materials. Despite the trend of global consolidation in the beverage industry, Wittmann remains an independent private brewery under the ownership of the Wittmann family. This independence allows them to maintain traditional brewing methods and a strong local identity without being part of a larger international conglomerate.
