Florio is a historic Italian brand deeply rooted in Sicilian tradition, particularly famous for its Marsala wines. Founded in 1833 by Vincenzo Florio in Marsala, Sicily, the company played a pivotal role in the industrialization of the region. While primarily known for fortified wines, the brand also produced prestigious spirits like this V.S.O.P. brandy, distilled from wine and aged in oak casks to achieve its characteristic Mediterranean profile.

Over the decades, the ownership of Cantine Florio transitioned from the original family to larger industrial groups. In the early 20th century, it was acquired by Cinzano, and eventually, the brand became part of the ILLVA Saronno Group (best known for Disaronno).
