Totis is an iconic Mexican snack brand recognized for its unique wheel-shaped wheat snacks and chili-lemon flavor profiles. Founded in 1987 in Tizayuca, Hidalgo, the brand initially gained popularity through its affordable and flavorful 'Donitas' (little donuts) snacks. It became a staple of Mexican childhood culture, widely distributed in convenience stores and schools.
In 2012, the brand underwent a significant transition when it was acquired by La Costeña, a major Mexican food corporation. Under La Costeña's management, Totis expanded its manufacturing footprint and diversified its product line to include corn-based snacks and larger sharing bags, while maintaining its primary production facilities in Mexico. The brand now serves both the Mexican domestic market and international markets with a strong presence in the United States and Central America.
