Kaba is a classic instant cocoa beverage that has been a staple in German households since its introduction in 1929. Originally developed by Ludwig Roselius, the founder of Kaffee HAG, it became famous for its vitamin-enriched formula and its 'Plantation Drink' branding. For decades, it was one of the most recognized chocolate milk powder brands in Central Europe.

Over the years, the brand transitioned through several corporate owners. It was part of the Kraft Foods (later Mondelez International) portfolio for a long time. In 2016, as part of a strategic divestment, the brand was acquired by the Carambar & Co group. Today, Kaba continues to be a market leader in the flavored milk category, offering various fruit flavors alongside its traditional cocoa powder.

Manufacturing is centered in Europe, particularly in Germany, ensuring that the traditional recipe and quality standards are maintained for its primarily European consumer base. The brand's longevity is attributed to its strong nostalgic value and its adaptation to modern nutritional trends.
