Rowenta is a historic brand originally established in Germany by Robert Weintraud in 1884. The brand gained international fame for its high-quality household appliances, including irons and personal care tools like hair clippers. Since 1988, Rowenta has been part of the French multinational Groupe SEB, which also owns other famous brands like Tefal and Moulinex. While the brand has its roots in German precision engineering, today most of its consumer electronics are manufactured in China to leverage global supply chains, though the design and quality control remain managed by the French parent group.
