Hašlerky Citrón herbal candies

Hašlerky are an iconic brand of herbal candies with a rich history in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Originally created in 1918 by František Lhotský, the candies were named after the famous Czech songwriter and actor Karel Hašler to highlight their soothing effect on the throat and voice. The brand became a staple of the Czechoslovak confectionery market, known for its distinct blend of anise, liquorice, and menthol, often expanded into various fruit-flavoured editions like this lemon (Citrón) version.

Today, the production of Hašlerky takes place in the SFINX factory in Holešov, Czech Republic. The brand is currently owned by the Swiss multinational food and beverage giant Nestlé, which acquired the SFINX factory and its portfolio in the late 1990s. Nestlé maintains the traditional recipe while utilizing its global distribution network to keep the brand relevant across Central Europe.
