Gadoua is a prominent bakery brand deeply rooted in Quebec's heritage, founded in 1911 by Wilfrid Gadoua in Napierville, Quebec. Originally a small family-run bakery, it grew into one of the most recognized bread and bakery brands in Canada, particularly in the French-speaking regions. The product shown, Gadoua Original Tortillas, is manufactured in Canada, primarily serving the Quebec and Canadian markets with staples ranging from sliced bread to wraps.
Following its acquisition by Weston Foods in 2008, the brand reached a new stage in its corporate history. As of 2021, the Weston Foods ambient bakery business, including the Gadoua brand, was acquired by the multinational food giant Grupo Bimbo. Today, Gadoua operates as part of Bimbo Canada, benefitng from the global supply chain and expertise of its Mexico-based parent company, which is the world's largest bakery company.
