Fenistil Gel

Fenistil is a well-known brand specializing in antihistamine treatments, primarily used for relieving skin irritation, insect bites, and allergic reactions. The active ingredient, Dimetindene maleate, was originally developed by Ciba (a predecessor of Novartis).

Historically, the brand was part of the Novartis portfolio. However, following a series of joint ventures and corporate restructuring focusing on consumer healthcare, the brand has transitioned. It was formerly under the GSK Consumer Healthcare umbrella and is now part of Haleon. Haleon was established as an independent company in 2022, specializing specifically in consumer health consumer products such as Sensodyne and Voltaren. While the brand has Swiss roots and significant manufacturing remains in Europe (notably Switzerland), it is distributed globally.
