The brand is owned by the Positec Tool Corporation, based in Suzhou, China. Positec was founded by Don Gao in 1994, originally as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for other major brands before launching Worx as its own flagship brand in 2004. Today, Worx products are manufactured in China, utilizing Positec's large-scale manufacturing facilities to distribute products worldwide.
