Foresto flea and tick collar

Foresto (known as Seresto in North America) is a long-acting medicated collar designed to protect dogs and cats from fleas and ticks. The product was originally developed by the German pharmaceutical and chemical giant Bayer AG within its Animal Health division. The manufacturing is primarily centered in Germany, utilizing specialized slow-release polymer technology.

In 2020, Elanco Animal Health completed a major acquisition of Bayer Animal Health, officially bringing the Foresto brand into its portfolio. Elanco is a global leader in animal health that was originally a subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company before becoming an independent entity. This transition moved the brand's ownership to an American-based multinational corporation. Today, Foresto remains one of the most prominent brands in the global pet parasiticides market, managed by Elanco's extensive international network.
