Haval is a specialized SUV brand that originated in China under the parent company Great Wall Motor. Launched as an independent brand in 2013, it quickly established itself as a leader in the crossover and SUV segment, focusing on high-tech features and robust design.

While the brand's primary R&D and manufacturing hub remains in China (notably Baoding), Haval has expanded its industrial footprint globally. It currently operates manufacturing and assembly plants in several countries, including Russia, Thailand, and Brazil, to serve regional markets. This international manufacturing strategy allows the brand to compete effectively on a global scale.

The brand is entirely owned by Great Wall Motor (GWM), a major private automobile manufacturer in China. GWM oversees Haval alongside other brands like ORA, WEY, and TANK, positioning the group as a significant player in the shift toward electrification and intelligent driving systems heading into 2026 and beyond.
