Cherry Heering is a legendary cherry liqueur that has become a staple in cocktail culture, most notably as an essential ingredient in the Singapore Sling and the Blood and Sand cocktail. Originally created in Denmark in 1818 by Peter Heering, the recipe is famous for using Stevens cherries that are crushed with their stones to provide a subtle almond note, then aged with spices for three years in oak casks.

While the brand boasts a rich Danish heritage and was historically produced in Copenhagen, its ownership and production sites have evolved over the centuries. In the modern era, the brand was acquired by the Dutch spirits giant De Kuyper Royal Distillers in 2017. Following this acquisition, the production was eventually moved to the Netherlands to leverage De Kuyper's extensive distillation facilities.

Today, Cherry Heering remains one of the most recognized liqueur brands globally. It continues to operate under the umbrella of De Kuyper, a family-owned company with over 300 years of history in the spirits industry, ensuring that the traditional recipe and premium quality of the liqueur are maintained for future generations of bartenders and enthusiasts.
