Theakston XB is a premium ale produced by T&R Theakston Ltd, a historic brewery based in Masham, North Yorkshire, England. Established in 1827 by Robert Theakston, the brewery has a long-standing reputation for traditional British brewing methods and high-quality ingredients.

Throughout its history, the brand experienced various ownership changes, including a notable acquisition by Scottish & Newcastle in the 1980s. However, in 2003, the Theakston family successfully led a management buy-back to reclaim the company, ensuring it remains an independent, family-controlled business. To this day, the beer is primarily brewed in its original home of Masham, maintaining its Yorkshire heritage and status as a legendary name in the British brewing industry.
