La Laitière is a renowned brand specializing in premium dairy desserts and yogurts, famously inspired by Johannes Vermeer's painting 'The Milkmaid.' Originally launched in France in 1973, it has become a household name across Europe for its traditional recipes and glass-jar packaging.

Today, the brand is managed under a significant partnership between Nestlé and Lactalis. While Nestlé founded the brand, most of the chilled dairy production in Europe is handled through the Lactalis Nestlé Produits Frais (LNPF) joint venture. Manufacturing takes place across numerous sites in Europe, primarily in France, Belgium, and Spain, to ensure freshness for local markets.
