Terry's Chocolate Orange is a quintessential British confectionery classic with roots dating back to 1823 in York, England. Originally created by the Terry's of York company, the brand became world-famous for its unique orange-shaped chocolate that 'taps' open into individual segments. The 'Segsations' product line featured in the image offers a variety of individually wrapped chocolate orange flavored pieces in a convenient pouch format.
While the brand was born in the United Kingdom, manufacturing moved away from York in 2005 following international acquisitions. Today, the product is primarily manufactured in France at the Strasbourg factory. Ownership has transitioned through several major food giants over the decades including Kraft Foods and Mondelēz International. As of the current period leading into 2026, the brand is owned by Carambar & Co, which was formed after the investment firm Eurazeo acquired several confectionery brands.
