Teufel is a renowned German manufacturer of high-quality audio products, including home cinema systems, speakers, and headphones. Founded in West Berlin in 1979 by Peter Tschimmel, the company initially gained fame as a kit manufacturer before transitioning to finished loudspeaker systems.

Today, Teufel is recognized for its direct-to-consumer business model and technical innovation. While the core research, development, and engineering take place at its headquarters in Berlin, the manufacturing of the physical hardware is primarily outsourced to facilities in Asia, specifically China, to maintain competitive pricing.

Since 2018, the brand has been under the ultimate ownership of the French private equity firm Ardian. This ownership has supported Teufel's expansion across Europe, allowing it to maintain its status as one of Germany's most successful and recognizable audio technology brands while operating as a high-growth international consumer electronics business.
