ProViva Mango Fruit Drink

ProViva is a Swedish functional fruit drink brand originally developed through a collaboration between Skånemejerier and researchers at Lund University in the early 1990s. The product is unique for its inclusion of the probiotic bacterium Lactobacillus plantarum 299v, which was formulated to support digestive health.

While the brand was founded in Sweden and its primary production facility remains in Lunnarp (Skåne), the ownership has shifted over time. In 2010, the French multinational food-products corporation Danone acquired a majority stake in ProViva. Today, Danone holds full ownership through its specialized nutrition and dairy divisions, managing the brand as a key part of its international health-focused portfolio while maintaining its strong Swedish heritage and identity.
