Chernigivske Bile Unfiltered Beer

Chernigivske Bile is a well-known Ukrainian unfiltered wheat beer characterized by its light, slightly hazy appearance and crisp taste profile. This specific variety, "Bile" (meaning White), is one of the most popular beers in Ukraine, often served with a slice of lemon to enhance its citrusy undertones. It represents a significant part of Ukraine's brewing heritage and is widely available across Eastern Europe.

The brand originated in the city of Chernihiv, Ukraine, produced at the Desna Brewery which opened in 1988. Over the decades, it grew to become a national leader in the Ukrainian beer market. Today, the brand is owned by AB InBev Efes, a joint venture between the Belgian multinational Anheuser-Busch InBev and the Turkish brewer Anadolu Efes. Despite the global ownership, the beer remains deeply tied to its Ukrainian roots, with manufacturing primarily located in Ukraine through subsidiaries like AB InBev Efes Ukraine. Since 2022, following the invasion of Ukraine, production was also expanded to various European countries (such as Belgium, Germany, and the UK) under an initiative where all profits were donated to humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine.
