Paris Baguette is a major international bakery chain that despite its name, originated in South Korea. The brand was established in 1988 by the SPC Group, building on the foundations of a bakery company started in 1945. It specializes in French-inspired baked goods, cakes, and sandwiches, adapted for a global audience with a fusion of Western and East Asian baking techniques.
While the brand project's an image of French culinary tradition, the actual manufacturing is highly localized. Each store operates as a bakery-cafe where products are either baked on-site using proprietary dough and ingredients or sourced from regional commercial kitchens owned by the parent company. Today, Paris Baguette operates thousands of locations across Korea, the United States, China, Vietnam, and increasingly in Europe and the Middle East, maintaining its position as South Korea's number one bakery chain and a significant global franchisor.
