Salsa Jeans is a renowned Portuguese fashion brand founded in 1994 in Vila Nova de Famalicão. It is particularly famous for its innovative denim designs, including the world-first 'Push-Up' jeans, which solidified its reputation in the global textile industry.

While the brand originated in Portugal and maintains significant design and finishing operations there, its manufacturing is distributed across several countries, including Portugal, Morocco, and Turkey, to meet global demand.

Starting as a family-owned business under IVN, the brand saw a major shift in ownership when Sonae, one of Portugal's largest multinational corporations, acquired a controlling stake in 2016. Sonae eventually took full 100% control of the company, integrating it into its fashion retail portfolio alongside other major Iberian brands.
