Sanex is a well-known personal care brand specialized in skin health. Launched in 1984 in Spain, it was originally developed to provide a soap-free alternative that respects the skin's natural pH.
The brand has undergone several ownership changes over the decades. It was initially part of the Sara Lee Corporation before being acquired by Unilever in 2011. However, due to European antitrust regulations, Unilever was required to sell the brand, leading to its acquisition by the American multinational Colgate-Palmolive later that same year. Today, Sanex is one of Colgate-Palmolive's leading brands in Europe, focusing on dermatologically tested formulations. Manufacturing occurs across multiple facilities globally, often in regional hubs to serve local markets.
