Corona Cerveza / Beer

Corona was originally founded in Mexico in 1925 by Cervecería Modelo. It has grown into one of the most recognizable beer brands globally. While the brand originated in Mexico, where a significant portion of its production still occurs to maintain its authentic image, the manufacturing and distribution rights are split due to antitrust laws. In the United States, Constellation Brands handles the brand's production and distribution, often brewing in plants near the border. For the rest of the world, following the acquisition of Grupo Modelo in 2013, the brand is owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev).

Ownership of Corona is unique because of this geographical split. Anheuser-Busch InBev, a Belgian-headquartered multinational, is the ultimate owner for all global markets except the U.S. In the U.S. market, Constellation Brands maintains independent control. The specific bottle in the image features multi-lingual labeling (German, Italian, Swedish, Finnish), indicating it is part of the AB InBev distribution network for the European market.
