Founded in 1996 in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Cervejaria Colorado is one of Brazil's most iconic craft beer pioneers. The brand is celebrated for its creative 'Brazilian soul,' blending traditional European brewing techniques with native ingredients such as coffee, molasses, honey, and indigenous fruits. Its mascot, the brown bear, has become a recognizable symbol of the Brazilian craft movement.
In 2015, the brand was acquired by Ambev, the Brazilian megacorporation which later became a key part of the global brewing giant Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev). While it remains rooted in its Ribeirão Preto heritage, its production and distribution have scaled significantly under the ownership of the world's largest brewing company. The brand continues to focus on premium craft labels that highlight the biodiversity of Brazil.
