PGL Travel is a leading provider of school activity holidays and summer camps for children and teenagers. Originally founded in 1957, the brand became synonymous with 'Parents Get Lost' in humorous shorthand, though its primary focus is on educational travel and outdoor adventure. The company operates numerous residential activity centers across the United Kingdom, as well as locations in France and Australia. These centers provide structured environments for young people to engage in outdoor activities like climbing, canoeing, and leadership training.
Over the decades, PGL has transitioned through several ownership structures. After being a family-run business and later part of the listed travel group Holidaybreak plc, it was acquired by Cox & Kings Ltd. Following the restructuring of that group, PGL was brought under the umbrella of HB Education Limited (Inspiring Learning). As of 2024 and moving forward into 2026, the brand is owned by the private equity firm Midlothian Capital Partners, which focuses on developing specialist travel and education brands. The headquarters remain in Ross-on-Wye, United Kingdom, where the brand maintains its legacy of outdoor education and youth development.
