Dulux is one of the world's most iconic paint brands, originally established in the 1930s as a collaboration between Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) and DuPont. The Weathershield range, specifically shown here with packaging mentioning it as Ireland's most trusted masonry paint, is formulated specifically for exterior protection against harsh weather conditions.

Today, the brand is owned and managed by the Dutch multinational AkzoNobel, following its acquisition of ICI in 2008. While AkzoNobel is based in the Netherlands, Dulux products sold in the UK and Ireland are largely manufactured in local facilities, such as the Ashington plant in England or the facility in Cork, Ireland. The brand operates under a complex global ownership structure where AkzoNobel owns it in most markets, except in Australasia where it is owned by Nippon Paint.
