The Ifö brand started in the late 19th century in Bromölla, Sweden, near the limestone and kaolin deposits of Ivö Lake, which provided the raw materials for ceramic production. In 2015, the Ifö brand reached a significant milestone when it was acquired by the Swiss multinational Geberit Group. This acquisition integrated Ifö's Swedish engineering with Geberit's global reach and advanced water management technologies. Today, while the brand maintains its Nordic identity and strong manufacturing presence in Sweden, it operates as part of the Swiss-headquartered Geberit Group, a European leader in sanitary products.
