Pescanova is one of the most iconic Spanish seafood brands, founded in 1960 in Vigo, Galicia. The product 'Muslitos de Mar' represents a popular frozen processed seafood item made from surimi (fish paste).

Traditionally a leader in the global fishing industry, the Pescanova brand underwent significant restructuring. Since the mid-2010s, it has been primarily owned by the Spanish banking group Abanca, following a financial crisis in the original company. Headquartered in Chapela, Pontevedra, the brand continues to produce the majority of its processed goods for the Spanish market within Spain, utilizing its specialized processing facilities in the Galicia region.
