Beavertown Brewery was founded in 2011 by Logan Plant, the son of Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant, in North London. The brand quickly became a staple of the British craft beer scene, known for its iconic psychedelic artwork and experimental flavors such as Gamma Ray and Neck Oil. The Cosmic Drop Berry variation is a specific fruited lager that exemplifies their creative approach to traditional brewing.
In 2018, Heineken N.V. purchased a minority stake in Beavertown to fund a massive new brewery facility called Beaverworld in Enfield, North London. By September 2022, Heineken acquired the remaining shares of the company, taking full ownership. Despite the transition from an independent craft brewery to a brand owned by a global conglomerate, the production of their core and seasonal range remains primarily centered in the United Kingdom to serve the massive demand in the UK market.
