Millet is a prestigious brand specializing in high-end outdoor and mountaineering equipment. Founded in 1921 by Marc Millet and his wife in Saint-Fons, France, the company initially produced shopping bags and haversacks before gaining worldwide fame for designing the technical backpacks used by the first French expeditions to the Himalayas.

Today, Millet offers a wide range of products including technical jackets, footwear, and climbing gear. While the brand is deeply rooted in the French Alps (Annecy), its production is spread across multiple countries including Vietnam, China, and Tunisia to maintain a balance of technical performance and scale. Since 2022, the brand has returned to French ownership under Jean-Pierre Millet (grandson of the founders) and Inspira Kids, after being divested from the Swiss-based Lafuma Group.
