Presidente pilsener beer

Presidente is an iconic pilsner beer that has become a symbol of Dominican culture. Launched in 1935 by the Cervecería Nacional Dominicana (CND), it was named in honor of Rafael Trujillo. The brand quickly established itself as the leading beer in the Dominican Republic and eventually expanded into international markets, particularly in the Caribbean and the United States.

While the main production remains in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, some batches for the North American market are brewed in the USA. In 2012, the brewing giant Anheuser-Busch InBev acquired a majority stake in Cervecería Nacional Dominicana, formally making Presidente part of the world’s largest beer portfolio. Today, it continues to be marketed globally as a premium Caribbean import.
