Liquore Strega is a world-renowned Italian herbal liqueur, famous for its vibrant yellow color derived from saffron. It was first created in 1860 by Giuseppe Alberti in Benevento, Italy. Legend suggests that the recipe, consisting of approximately 70 different herbs and spices including mint and fennel, was based on a potion brewed by witches in the region. The brand remains a symbol of Italian liquid history and cultural heritage.

Today, the brand is still owned by the founding family through the company Strega Alberti Benevento S.p.A. The manufacturing continues to take place at the original facility located near the railway station in Benevento, where the family preserves the secret artisanal processes that have made the liqueur an international icon for over 160 years. Beyond spirits, the family firm is also famous for its high-quality confectionery products, particularly nougat and chocolates.
