Every Audio Research product is hand-built in the United States, specifically in Maple Grove, Minnesota. After a few changes in corporate ownership and financial restructuring in the early 2020s, the brand returned to independent private ownership.

Currently, Audio Research is owned by AR Global Investments, LLC, led by a group that includes former company leadership.
