Brasserie Sleeman beer

Sleeman is an iconic Canadian beer brand with a storied history dating back to 1834, when John H. Sleeman founded the original brewery in Guelph, Ontario. Although the brewery was shut down for several decades during the prohibition era, it was successfully relaunched in 1988 by the founder's great-great-grandson, John W. Sleeman. Today, the product is primarily brewed at its historic location in Guelph and other regional facilities across Canada.

In 2006, the brand was acquired by the Japanese brewing giant Sapporo Holdings, which remains the ultimate owner. This partnership has allowed Sleeman to maintain its traditional Canadian brewing heritage while benefiting from the global resources of one of the world's leading beverage companies. Sapporo continues to operate Sleeman Breweries as a primary subsidiary in the North American market.
