Tadelle is one of Turkey's most iconic domestic chocolate brands, specifically known for its high hazelnut content and signature red packaging. The brand was originally created by Sagra, a company established in Ordu, Turkey, which leveraged the region's abundant hazelnut resources to create a premium snack. For decades, Tadelle has maintained a strong presence in the Turkish market as a nostalgic and quality-focused brand.
In 2007, Toksöz Group acquired Sagra (and with it, the Tadelle brand) from the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF). Under Toksöz Group's ownership, the brand saw significant modernization in production and marketing. Most recently, in 2021, the French-based global confectionery giant OYAK Group (Sanset Gıda) reached an agreement with the Italian-led Ferrero Group, but ultimately, the brand remains centrally operated under the OYAK Portfolio through Sanset Gıda in Turkey. As of 2024, it continues to be produced in modern facilities located in Ordu, Turkey, maintaining its heritage as a Turkish-born brand with international quality standards.
