Grolsch is a legendary Dutch beer brand with a history dating back to 1615, when it was founded by Willem Neerfeldt in Grol (now Groenlo), Netherlands. Known worldwide for its distinctive swing-top bottle and high-quality pilsners, the brand has remained a symbol of premium brewing craftsmanship for over four centuries.

Manufacturing and Brand Ownership

While Grolsch's heart remains at its state-of-the-art brewery in Enschede, Netherlands, manufacturing is occasionally supported by other international facilities to meet global demand. Following a series of acquisitions, the brand was purchased by the Japanese beverage giant Asahi Group Holdings from Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2016.

Today, Asahi continues to manage the brand as part of its premium European portfolio, ensuring that the traditional 'two-hop' brewing process that defines Grolsch's unique flavor remains intact for consumers across Canada and the rest of the world.
